If you didnt know UBI Soft is going to drop their first purpose built console RTS game. Tom clancy’s End War RTS Game. Now whats cool and uniqe about this game is it’s voice interface. When your playing you pull the right trigger and say things like “Unit Alpha Attack Hostile 1″ and the group of tanks would move in to attack. You can also use the controler to do this if you wanted to. Its always available not an option, so you can use the 2 in conjuntion if you wanted to. It uses modern Military hardware which should enthrall military junkies. The story is set to a future date where 3 factions were formed (US,EU,RF<Russian) and they have been warring over resources of the world,(gasp shock!) you choose which faction to fight for and then do your things. Each faction has strengths and weaknesses. They are all balanced though.
The graphics are pretty good nothing nutty like GOW or any of the other Uber bench marks. It is very cool to watch your units pummel your opponent due to good planning and execution though. Some of the effects are very cool in HD like Nuking your opponent. Ya, I like that.
It would satisfy any other PC RTS fan out there. But, dont be looking for in depth tech trees other then your units upgrading and leveling up ala RPG style. You can also buy upgrades and equipment for your soldiers as well, and with each rank (level up) more stuff to buy is unlocked. Stealth Camo for your riflemen anyone?
Conquest for example (1 of the gametypes), when you take a comms tower it takes away tickets from your enemy’s stash just like any other conquest game. Taking them all will win the game but you will have to hold them. When I played I was able to cheese a little bit and pin the enemy down in the spawn and well.. spawn camp them. So watch out for cheesers.. they will be rampant. This game IMO will be popular. When you do take those comms towers you get new options like WMD’s and air strikes. The TOW is connected to the online games. Picture a world map and spaces on that map connected by lines of attack. Pick a space to fight on and a map similar to that territory will be your battleground. The more wins by your collective faction more points tilts toward your side to taking that spot. Win the area and your faction can have access to other spaces on the map and fight on different maps according to the terrain.
I had an opportunity to play the game and I would give it a 7/10. Only because I felt a bit limited playing it. The voice and controls were great, worked perfectly. Just wish there were more to do in the game. I did like it immensely and it is re playable if your hardcore RTS, though mainstream players may like the Voice control that will get old fast.

There will be a demo that would be released at the end of October. Those who preordered at certain stores get access early… But, from what I see on The UBI forums something is delaying the implementation of it. See UBI Forums for details on what to do.
